First of all, avoid forcing the dog but reassure him before putting the harness on him. When it seems clear to you, you can start putting on the harness but calmly and gradually, avoiding sudden movements.
A good way to get your dog used to the Harness is to let him smell it by leaving it on the ground for a while so that he associates it with treats and cuddles.
The dog does not have to be forced: with one hand hold Soft Reflective and with the other hand him the treats, so that he sticks his head through the hole to take them.
Remove the harness only when the dog is calm.
